I, inattentively and thoughtlessly, thought Scrooge was visited by three ghosts. He is not — it is one ghost and three spirits. It makes perfect sense too — ghosts are the earthly shadow of people who have died while spirits have never been alive in the way you and I are. I only mention this because I started to write the ghost of Christmas past, but fortunately looked it up just to make sure.
